This is a question close to our heart as like most people we all feel nervous in front of a camera. Since we started filming weddings it’s always been my approach to understand the nerves people have and adapt our style to accommodate. We try to use small cameras, we try to blend in on the day and most importantly We try to have fun and make things as relaxed as possible. We want you to remember your day for how great it was and we’ll do everything we can to document your day without you feeling like you’re part of a TV show.

It’s uncommon that we need to visit the venue before the wedding day. If the venue is local to us then we are happy to arranging a face to face meeting at your venue – however this is by no means necessary.

We are very experienced and typically explore the venue extra early on the wedding morning, where we capture establishing shots at the same time. Equally we always perform a Google image search which typically flags up all the best areas commonly used for photography & video.

Occasionally the venue may wish to speak to us before hand, to provide proof of insurance. This is absolutely fine, please feel free to pass them our details.

Every wedding is different, but broadly speaking the production process can be broken down into three phases:

Pre-production: This is when we work with you to learn all about you and together define what it is you need from film and some of the avenues we might explore.

Production: AKA ‘filming’. This is bit most people think of when they talk about creating videos. Our crew will capture all the required footage. We will be on site and shooting your wedding on the discussed hours.

Post-production: Once we’ve captured all the footage we’ll get to work on the edit, crafting the footage into a coherent narrative and adding graphics, titles and music as appropriate. You’ll have chance to review one or more drafts and give feedback before everything is finalised.

Your wedding will be unique to you and so will your wedding video. While some parts of your wedding day may be similar, weddings are never the same and your film will be about you and your story. Your film will be based upon the events on your day but will have the same great quality and storytelling as the films on our website.

We film everything on professional broadcast-quality 4K video cameras and use additional kit – such as radio mics, lighting kit, or green screen – where appropriate. We continually invest in new kit and software to keep up-to-date with the rapidly changing standards of the industry.

We usually supply our finished videos in the most commonly used formats, typically .mp4 or .mov. However we’re happy to convert these into pretty much any other format free of charge.

Generally we advise 8-12 weeks depending on the time of year and our schedule. Remember we are often editing multiple videos at the same time. Some of our packages include ‘teaser videos’ which will be delivered sooner to build your excitement.

To book us to film your wedding we simply ask for a small non-refundable deposit to secure the date with me and then the remaining amount to be paid one month before your wedding day. We understand you will have a lot of expenses going out so we’re happy to arrange a payment plan if this will help you. Just let us know.

We have public liability insurance for 20 million Australian dollars. A lot of venues, vendors and locations require this.
